The force also invaded several villages in the area as well, including a number across the border in Lebanon where Syrian rebels and civilians had taken refuge.

Kofi Annan's plan is destined to fail

President Bashar al-Assad has agreed to U.N. envoy and former Secretary-General Kofi Annan’s

Al-Assad had little to lose by signing on to the plan.
