If you enjoy watching financial doom, then you are quite likely to really enjoy the rest of 2012. Right now, red flags are popping up all over the place. Corporate insiders are selling off stock like there is no tomorrow, major economies all over Europe continue to implode, the IMF is warning that the eurozone could actually break up and there are signs of trouble at major banks all over the planet.
 Unfortunately, it looks like the period of relative stability that global financial markets have been enjoying is about to come to an end. A whole host of problems that have been festering just below the surface are starting to manifest, and we are beginning to see the ingredients for a "perfect storm" start to come together.

Israel says Iran must stop all enrichment, denies having access to Azerbaijan air bases

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu early Wednesday that Iran should remain under biting sanctions until it halts all uranium enrichment, appearing to exceed U.N. demands on Tehran, as Israel denied it had gained access to air bases in Azerbaijan.His remarks appeared aimed at stepping up pressure on Iran as it engages in revived international nuclear negotiations amid increased speculation in recent months that Israel may soon take military action to halt its nuclear drive.

PYONGYANG, North Korea (AP) — A senior North Korean army official says his country is armed with "powerful mobile weapons" capable of striking America.Vice Marshal Ri Yong Ho emphasized the importance of defending the North against the U.S. and South Korea as Pyongyang marked the 80th anniversary of the nation's army Wednesday.He told officials at the April 25 House of Culture that the weapons could defeat the U.S. "at a single blow."


 

 Pakistan successfully tested a nuclear-capable ballistic missile on Wednesday. The launch comes less than a week after Islamabad’s main adversary India tested a long-range ballistic missile of its own.
­Pakistan’s missile Shaheen-1A was reportedly shot southward to the Indian Ocean and managed to cover some 4,000-4,500 kilometers. This is enough to target any object on Indian territory.
Pakistan notified its neighbors of plans to perform a launch a day before the event, saying the test would take place between April 24 and 29.

TOKYO (Reuters) - A nuclear plant in northwestern Japan may be sitting right on top of an active geological fault, the country's nuclear watchdog has said, raising the risk that the facility may never resume power generation for fear of an earthquake. For the first time in more than 40 years, Japan faces the prospect of having no nuclear power within weeks, after last year's crisis at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant crushed public trust in nuclear power and prevented the restart of reactors shut for regular maintenance checks.

April 24, 2012ITALY Mt. Etna volcano erupted for the seventh – and without doubt the most spectacular – time this year today, spewing forth molten lava hundreds of meters into the air. Residents living close by were covered in hot ash but Europe’s tallest and most active volcano didn’t seem to pose any threat to human safety. Local inhabitants of the Sicilian town of Catania were grateful that Etna at least didn’t close the local airport...

Having doubts about Christianity even after having just made a profession of faith in Jesus is inevitable for new believers, say pastors, including Harvest Ministries founder Greg Laurie.
"One of the first challenges new Christians face is having doubts about their conversion and about the Word of God in general," Laurie told The Christian Post recently via email. "One must recognize that faith should be built on God's Word, not on our fleeting emotions."
